December 10th 2021 a tornado hit our little town (Dawson Springs, KY). It destroyed approximately 75% of the homes and businesses in the area before continuing east. It left a 227 mile path of destruction. Thousands of people across the State are grateful for the warning system in place; It worked very well.
Many got out of town while others headed to the basement. Yes, there were casualties, but without the warning system in place hundreds perhaps thousands of lives would have been lost.
May of 2021 was our offical opening of West Dawson Music Venue. The parking lot was full of cars and trucks who had come to enjoy 24 recording artists, great fellowship and awesome chuck wagon food. Admission FREE. Today our parking lot looks a lot different, while we are sad about the losses we are happy that our parking lot is being used for a noble cause. Lord willing April 1st there will be a number of cars and trucks parked while the drivers and passengers enjoy another inspirational night of music. Several singer/song writers will be koining us for an acoustic picking in the round. Then April 29th (Friday) the ICCAN Round Up with 2 dozen recording artists and chuck wagon cooking will take place. We hope that you will bring the family and hang out with us. Cooking will start around noon and concert around 5pm. Mark your calendars now.
